Not a true animation of course, just kinda key frames in how I'd work the Black Dog in a game or movie environment. I really like the idea of finding a death mask somewhere and as you walk up to it, the Black Dog kinda crawls out of the underworld.
Same monster as [link] , though that illustration is in a high wind to show the underlying form- hence it looking closer to the fourth image in the sequence than the fifth.
Wow, really impressive character design! I love how it looks like it's off-balance and sort of staggering in the second and third steps, it feels very realistic. The fire coming out of its ribcage was a nice touch too, very intimidating.
Hehe, I try to go for that! Optimally I like to add in a touch of sadness too, like, it's obviously in pain and hurt itself and you almost want to fix it, but the monster is too blind with agony so you have to put it down.
